In July, Natalie will be traveling to Princeton, New Jersey to attend CoOPERAtive, a 3-week opera training program. The faculty includes internationally acclaimed conductors, directors, movement specialists and performers including: Martin Katz (world renowned accompanist), Pierre Vallet (Metropolitan Opera), Kathleen Kelly (Vienna State Opera), Susan Ashbaker (MET National Council judge), Eric Weimer (Lyric Opera of Chicago), Anthony Manoli (Washington National Opera), and Sandra Bernhard (Houston Grand Opera). By attending this program Natalie hopes to make strides in her singing, acting, and all aspects of performance which will help to charge her career forward.

After attending IVAI-Montreal last summer and learning more about her craft, Natalie experienced a tremendous amount of success this year, including winning the Houston District Metropolitan Opera District Audition and being named a finalist in the Bel Canto and Mid-Texas Symphony competitions. She has had a full schedule of performing, including with the Austin Lyric Opera, UT, and all around Austin. Because of the success she experienced there, Natalie was invited by one of her teachers in Montreal to receive further training at another program this summer. The CoOPERAtive program offers approximately 28-30 hours for each participant per week of private coachings, classes and masterclasses, three performance opportunities each week with aria concerts and art song recitals.

Natalie has already procured free living arrangements and a $700 scholarship which has helped to defray costs tremendously.
