"This upcoming year is filled with promise and possibilities as I have been given the chance to further my career as an Opera Singer. With every audition, there is hope to be hired; with every competition, there is the chance to win money that I would be able to invest back into furthering my career; and with young artists programs, I gain lifelong experiences. Every chance to sing in a public arena is beneficial in solidifying my career since every performance could be an opening to better opportunities.

In the following months, I will be traveling to Philadelphia and New York to compete in vocal competitions, perform auditions and continue my private studies with MET legend Mignon Dunn. In between going to Philadelphia and New York, I have engagements with Austin Lyric Opera as a chorus member and Indianapolis Opera singing a main stage role. This summer, I have been awarded a generous scholarship to attend the International vocal Arts Institute in both Virginia and Tel Aviv, Israel.  With all these wonderful opportunities, there is the possibility of great benefits ahead. However, a large front end investment is necessary in order to make this exciting summer possible. I would love to have your help getting there!"

The Plan - Auditions, Competitions and an International Young Artist Program:

I am auditioning for Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia, PA.  The Academy of the Vocal Arts is the only program in the United States exclusively devoted to the training of young opera singers, tuition-free. Artists from throughout the states and all over the world audition to study and perform in AVA's four-year program. Only those with tremendous potential are accepted to the Academy, where they receive the equivalent of $70,000 in training each year, free of charge.

I am planning to compete in two different competitions and audition for management during my next trip to the NYC area.  I will be singing for The Opera Foundation, an organization that helps emerging artist audition in Europe. They offer scholarships to audition at houses including Deutsche Oper Berlin, Teatro Regio Torino, and the Bayerische Staatsoper. I will also compete for support from both the Gerda Lissner Foundation and the Fritz & Lavinia Jensen Foundation.

This summer, I have been given a very generous scholarship to attend Joan Dornemann's International Vocal Arts Institute in both Virginia and Tel, Aviv, Isreal.  The scholarship covers tuition to these two internationally recognized programs, where I will have a chance to work with top industry professionals.  Here are the details:

IVAI Virginia celebrates its third season in cooperation with the Vocal Arts Music Festival at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia, located in the heart of Southwest Virginia’s New River Valley.
